We have collected over $2,000 so far toward this trip! Penny Wars At this point the men are ahead of the women by only about fifty (50) points! The penny wars will end this next Sunday (27th of April). |
Our team is working hard on several projects so we can send seven men and women to Haiti for a short term trip this spring. We will be working with the Hands and Feet Mission Project in Jacmel, Haiti. As of January 2008, they have 32 orphans to care for and raise. They give these children a chance to break the chains of poverty. A home is provided with loving house-parents, food and clothing. They are given education in a private school. More buildings are being added in order to take in more children. |

What a life changing experience it is to have a small part in a great cause. We will conduct a Bible School for the children. We play games, have crafts, and teach about Jesus. The smiles on their faces and the excitement in their eyes when they see balloons for the first time, or blow bubbles and watch them sail through the air as they try to catch them will make lasting memories. The children get to play baseball with a real bat and ball instead of a stick. The joy on their faces will be a memory to cherish forever. Our cost is around $1,000 per person plus shots and medicines. We also can take 100 pounds of supplies each to the orphanage which is a total of 700 pounds.
